Our Team

We are very grateful to the many volunteers who helped to set up FHfF and FACLT, those who have shared ideas and advice and staffed projects in the past. Without their enthusiasm, skills and goodwill it would be impossible for us to function.

People

FACLT currently has six volunteer directors, and one part-time communications officer.

We are always looking for more people to get involved.

Vicki Burke

Director

Vicki is a professional musician and writer.  She moved to Frome in 2013, where she became interested in Restorative Justice and conflict resolution.

As a founding member and vice chair of Fair Housing for Frome she was originally on the steering group of the Frome Landlords Association and is now part of the Frome Renting Alliance. She has a long term interest in providing genuinely affordable housing.

John Clarke

Chair

John has lived in Frome for more than 20 years.  He worked as a social worker for 30 years including 15 years based in Frome.

As a former district council councillor and social worker he has real experience of working with our local community particularly those in desperate housing need.  He is a trustee of a local charity Purple Elephant who support vulnerable families in Frome.

John joined the FACLT board in the autumn of 2020 and was elected Chair in 2023.  He is hoping that over the coming years FACLT can make a difference in providing much needed social and affordable housing especially for local people.

Andy Jones

Director

“I feel strongly that I should give something back to my adopted town and I see FACLT as an organisation that can really make a difference. I’ve experienced many different types of accommodation around the country, and watched in sadness as council homes were sold off in the past years.

I’m enjoying working with FACLT to try and ensure that the town works towards a sustainable model that provides secure and affordable homes for all.”

Delia Goddard

Director

Delia moved to Frome in 2017 after a career in the NHS.

Her awareness of the the lack of affordable housing in Frome led her to become a FACLT director in late 2020. She’s inspired by the CLT idea that communities can hold land in trust for the provision of permanent affordable housing for that community.

David Tanner

Director

David has experience of the voluntary sector, both as an employee and trustee. He is a tenant paying rent to a private landlord so understands local housing issues well.

David hopes that FACLT will address some of the current housing needs and looks forward to welcoming people to our first new community of homes in Frome.

Tim Cutting

Director

Tim has lived in Frome since 2006.  He has been involved with community led housing for many years.

He was Chair of Oakfield Academy governing board until 2018, was a founding director of Frome Renewable Energy Company, and has also been a director of ECOS Trust, a charity that promoted sustainable house building.

Caroline Wajsblum

Communications Officer

Caroline grew up in Bristol and has lived in Frome for the last 13 years. She has direct experience of homelessness, is currently a social housing tenant in Frome, as is her close family. She has a keen interest in community led housing, housing rights and social justice. She is also a Permaculturist and Local Food Activist and is director of a local community market garden (Frome Field 2 Fork CIC), and works with the Frome Town Council Healthy Homes team co-ordinating the Energy Advice Champions.
